My bruv in law is a nice bloke...even though he comes from IPSWICH! of all places, but he insists that his 53 plate 130 bhp manual galaxy has a kickdown function on his throttle....

 

:unsure: EH? I say hoping he'll simply accept that I know it dont....but I think my sis thinks he still thinks there is one so....is there? :ph34r:

He's probably seem a black switch on the floor under the accelerator pedal; all it does is shut off the aircon when you apply full throttle to reduce the load on the engine when you want MAX POWER :D

a manual galaxy with kickdown.lol :D ,next your be telling me they make them with air conditioning that actually works! :unsure:

You have to press the left pedal and fiddle about with that stick between the front seats (the upright one - not the one lying parallel to the floor)

:D my other sis (who has a 115 galaxy) asked if (our) sister's 130 really did have a kickdown after she got to have a drive of it on a day out to france :unsure:

 

Now I'm not quite sure of who actually raised the subject between them, but it was sis 2...hmm can I say that? 'cos sis 1 might be a bit miffed about being called ....

Some manual gearbox cars have a fuel-mapping switch, you bang the throttle down and it goes into "power" mode for a set period of time before switching back to economy. But I don't think the Galaxy does.
